2016 CAPS CONFERENCE: Sense and Sufferings: Reflections on vulnerability

Friday July 15 2016 by Katherine

The 2016 Centre for Ageing and Pastoral Studies (CAPS) Conference will be held on Friday September 30, 2016 at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.

CAPS is part of St Mark's National Theological Centre and this year's biennial conference looks at the 'Sense and Suffering: Reflections on vulnerability'.

This year's event combines a theological reflection on ageing, disability and suffering with a discussion on our spirituality and values, showcases recent research and offers practical workshops for acquiring new skills.

Professor Shane Clifton, Dean of Theology at Alphacrucis College, will present the keynote address on a theology of disability and suffering. Dr Clifton is a quadriplegic after an accident a few years ago and has published important papers in leading theological journals on disability.

For more information see CAPS website or register via Eventbrite which has the program for the day.
